Some k-dramas don’t need a romance or love angle between the leads to work and to touch hearts. Like #DivorceAttorneyShin

Attorney Shin Sung-Han (played by #ChoSeungWoo of #Stranger #TheKingsDoctor) only needs his friendship with Hyeong-Geun (#KimSungKyun of #DP #HospitalPlaylist #Reply1988 #TheFieryPriest) and Jeong-Sik (#JungMoonSung of #HospitalPlaylist # MoebiusThe Veil), his nephew and staff, and memories of his sister and parents to face his struggles and pains. A pianist turned lawyer (he studied law driven by a personal tragedy), he tackles his cases inspired by the classical music he learned and taught in Germany. And he wins them. How he wins them – with his most popular case, that of radio DJ Lee Seo-Jin (the beautiful #HanHyeJin – you’ve seen her in #TheThornBirds). 

It seems to me that this drama appeals to male viewers, as the story is told from a man’s point of view - life, family, friendship, loyalty, fighting for your beliefs and values, respect for women, second chances, forgiving, healing, living with the consequences of your wrongdoings, and moving on.
